Modern farmhouses are one of the top styles that people are desiring for their home. We can probably thank Chip and Joanna Gaines for that! Although it isn’t everyone’s style, many are wanting their homes covered in shiplap, galvanized tiered trays, and wood accents. If that’s you, check out some of the stores below for all your farmhouse decor needs. If you don’t have one of these stores near you, most allow you to buy items from their website.
- Home Goods- A fan favorite where we live. It actually closed for a whole year after a tornado damaged it, and at least once a week, someone on social media was asking when it was going to reopen! Although Home Goods has decor for many styles, farmhouse decor is a plenty. (Note: You cannot buy from Home Goods website, but their sister company, TJMaxx has a great home section online).
- Mohair Plaid Throw: Buffalo plaid has made a comeback and a throw is always a way to add color or pattern to a couch or ottoman.
- Timber End Table: Would love to get these for our master bedroom. A perfect soft wood tone and perfect for hiding all the junk that can pile up on your nightstands.

- At Home- This store recently came to our area and is definitely worth checking out. Although you won’t find any “one of a kind” pieces here like you can at Home Goods, if you know the item you need, chances are you can find it here. A friend described it as “Home Goods and Walmart had a baby”.
- 4 Door Distressed Cabinet: I’ve had my eye on this for awhile. I would love to add it to our home. It’s beautiful, provides storage, and would add a few decor accents on top.
- Blackled Lantern: These are perfect for inside OR outside your home. I have two different sized lanterns by our front door. It dresses it up and is perfect for all seasons.

Michaels- This store surprised me with their farmhouse decor. For the longest time this store was filed away in my mind for craft supplies. It has so much more! Wall art, home accents, and beautiful seasonal decor. A few of my favorite things from there include:
-
- Wooden Pillar Candle Holder : Small piece but perfect to add height to the top tier of a multi-tiered tray.
- Galvanized Storage Standing Shelf: Perfect for in the kitchen, foyer table, or bathroom. Add some floral accents and coffee mugs for the kitchen, or some cotton balls, candles, and floral accents in the bathroom.
- White Metal Jug: Perfect throughout the home. Add some cotton or lamb’s ear, place it on the mantle, as a centerpiece, or on a television console table to dress it up. Easy as that!

AC Moore- Just like Michaels, I had thought this store was just for craft supplies. Wrong again! I drove by one day and their outside decor caught my eye. Turned around, went in, and the rest is history!

Hobby Lobby: Oh, Hobby Lobby. Where to even start? What isn’t there to love about this store? My son’s and daughter’s rooms are completely Hobby Lobby, but that’s for another post.
-
- Wood Wall Decor with Hooks: We have this in our foyer. Even though we have a coat closet, we love having this right by the door for guests. Stylish but has a purpose.
- Galvanized Metal Two-tiered Tray: A perfect item to redecorate occasionally. Easy to add small accents to it depending on the season or your mood!
- White Wall Shelf: Perfect in any room in your home. A friend has a similar one hung over coffee station for all her mugs. Perfect way to add stylish storage to your kitchen.
